For my trans rebuilt/lsd instal I need some info on special tool VW521/4 ,more specific I need the width of the hexagonal end so that I can measure the backlash as described inthe factory manual .I hope anyone here either has this info or can at least tell me were it can be found.

The Hexagonal end of VW521/4 is 32mm

I just visited the local vw dealer and to my surprise both VW521/4 and VW388 are still available and are affordable at 123€ for the two tools.the dealer explained that special tools are normaly not to be sold to the general public but since i had no commercial use for these tools it wasn't a real issue!
