Google "comp turbo problems" or "comp turbo issues".
Used to be a big name in the Audi world, but not anymore.

Ya, looks like a lot of seal problems. I guess I am more interested in if anyone has used their rebuild/upgrade service.

I was at the local turbo shop today (turbochargers.com or turbo pros). Both the owner and the turbo rebuilder recommended the Comp BB turbo. They said they would only run these turbos on their own cars. I'm getting one built to what I desired. I have quite a bit of modifying to do to get it to work in my car. I will try to post my review and install when it is complete.

I have the comp 5558 tripple bearing with the #8 housing ready to go on just need time to install. Took them awhile to build it as wanted the center housing 16 mm instead of 3/8 npt. A local shop that builds twin turbo chevys recomended.

Rh951 are you referring to 16mm for the water jacket threads? I should probably look into that since I have no idea how I'm going to plumb it yet.

Yes. I wanted to keep the water outlets the same as factory but by doing that it took them a month to get the turbo sent out. The build quality looks fantastic. I hope it performs as good as it looks.
