Finally they did some tests on this. I searched around on other forums, both Porsche and non Porsche, and it is amazing to see even very experienced gear heads still look at this as Snake Oil.... ??????? ![Confused](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
Anyway check out the episode when it re runs. The did dyno runs on both NA and forced induction and the results were just as expected.
On a big NA motor that dropped from 110 octane to 93 and then injection and got 30+ hp tq as they were able to run a LOT more timing.
On the supercharged car, they kept the same boost and timing, or so they say, so they only got the benefits of the much cooler charge air and picked up 40 hp/tq. Which "coincidentally" was the same degrees the intake temps dropped. I.e 1 hp gain per degree of intake temp drop at the wheels.

Alot of Audi guys run this. There are a few 944 running this setup. I am thinking about this setup for safety on really hot/humid days

A lot of my Diesel buddy's run water/meth..... I have a friend with a Kenne Bell on his 02 Z06 with a 408ci and his water/meth system is CRAZY!!!
Its a pretty cool idea on a 4cyl Turbo car with high comp and octane needs.....
I think some Subi's sprayed water( I think ppl where using window washer cleaner due to the alcohol) on the intercooler and were getting some good numbers but not nearly as good as the W/M injection...

It has certainly gained a lot of notice in the last 5 years or so. I had researched it a TON over the years but always had other priorities with the car and never installed it.
If you don't have access to E85 this is def a major bang for the buck as well as much safer/cooler charge for turbo cars.
It seemed to really get notice with the Buick GN guys as they were running 30+ psi all day with no issues and some up to the 40psi+ levels.
The Subi comes stock with IC sprayers. Nice but no where near the gains of injection.
Yea, many run the washer fluid as it is usually a 1-2$ or less a gallon and is already pre mixed as water/meth. There is a list I posted a long time ago that showed the different brands and their % of meth. IIRC one of the winter walmart brands was a 30-40% meth which is perfect. So that is like 110+ octane for less than $2 a gallon.

The previous owner of my car was experimenting with this. When I bought the car none of it was hooked up so I ended up taking it off. I have a water/meth pump from snow laying around in my garage that I wouldn't mind getting rid of if someone is interested in buying it.

Snake oil? No way -- if it's good enough for the U.S. air force, it's good enough for me... I'm patiently waiting for a certain top of the line vendor and site sponsor to integrate it into his system...

The thing to this is the safety measures. like if the nozzle malfunctions or the water is low then it sends the signal to the computer and automatically switches the map. Thats how this setup is set. its a Link standalone with Snow perf kit.

That's cool it will change the map. I have a progressive devils own system that just has the light indicator of when your fluid gets low. I wonder if you could put this system in with the devils own?
