What are the thoughts on the price? I am happy to pass along advice to the seller.

From my research, similar cars sell for about $7.5k. With the mods maybe up to 8k$.

I would say price according to how quickly the seller wants or needs it gone... High of perhaps even 12K, but seller would have to wait for a buyer.. 7.5K should result in a sale prior to spring!

If it hasn't been tracked, these are not good pics to use. The number decals attached to the car in both pics are consistent with the types of decals used at some track day events. Maybe autocrossed? If so, I would mention that.

The seller is not in a rush to sell. Those numbers are from the Porsche Parade. When you go to the parade you get numbers to put on your car for the week. Thanks for the heads up guys!

Is it just the photos or does India Red have that pinkish hue in person?

Was it autocrossed? If not, why does it have 5pt belts, Recaros, and a fire extinguisher? Tracked by a prior owner?

It's probably not the end of the world if it has seen track time, and it looks like a nice car. Good luck with the sale

That's just the picture, and I believe, though there may be some exceptions, that the vast majority, if not all of the 86 951's would have been Guards Red. Correct me if I'm incorrect on that. Guards was the common red offered by
Porsche then.

Oh, Jay that could be a 10k car, it just depends on the overall equipment, maintenance and more good pics. Like Koa said, it would go faster cheaper.

The gentleman who owns the car is an older guy who is a fireman who believes in safety first (after all, he is our region safety chair). He owns 9 Porsches and they all have seats and belts in them because he likes them and he puts a fire extinguisher in everything (even his Porsche tractor).

Well the OP does say India Red, and on my monitor at least it doesn't look like Guards

I can't really commment, if the owner says it is India Red then it must be. It does look different then Guards Red, which is a nice change in my opinion.
