problem with second hand controllers are the solenoids, you just don't know how much life is left in them.
If you find an eBoost2 (60mm) for a good price, consider buying it!

Ouch. That is quite a lot more than I would have guessed. I would have thought $30. I'll keep it in mind if I get any offers. By the way, don't you think the e-boost looks out of place in an 80s car? Can you turn off the lights or change the colour to a more neutral one?

thats why i was going to go with eBoost Street and mount it in the glove box.
mine works, because the gauge lights up blue and red, with a black face. my HU illumination is changable to red or blue, i've got it on red and it works well together imo.
you can get different face colours. the lights will always be blue and red.
Do you have a price range? i'll give you some ideas on EBC since i've looked at a few while looking for one.

I have a Greddy. Never installed it. I am going with the Link G4 Extreme. I'm willing to sell the Greddy, but I have to find it. Make sure it's all there. And then figure out what it's worth. Give me a day or two...

@Paulyy. My budget is based on what I planned to pay for AEM the tru-boost. It is listed for $320. That would be my starting point.

My Greddy seems to be doing a fine job - but I would be interested to know what is supposedly wrong with them. It was in the car when I bought it. Its not the most intuitive thing to use but the manuals (available free online) are OK. It has low and hi boost setting that seem pretty decent so I haven't adjusted them at all (that can wait until proper remapping - it runs very rich on Promax/Lindsey chips).

Have a look at this http://www.gfb.com.au/spotlight/104-...by-for-g-force
Leave it in your glove box, and not worry about it and use a standard boost gauge.
this was one of my options, GFB is a real good brand.

I just went through this. The solenoid on my AEM isn't working, so I ordered a new one today. AEM wants $100 for a replacement, which is a ripoff. The solenoid for the AEM (and many others) is made by Mac Valves. Part number 35A-AAA-DDBA-1BA and can be found online for around $30. Just make sure you get the right one - there are people out there selling the DDAA-1BA version which is 24v, not 12v. Today when I was looking, only one seller on eBay had the correct valve.
