Default NO DASH LIGHTS

OK, I know this seams stupid but has anyone randomly had their Dash die? I have a blown fuse and it seams to be a dead short. I am going to retrace all of my steps again but the only thing I did, that I can tell, to make this happen was as follows. Re mounted my driver bucket, installed new rear hatch shocks, installed new bulb in cargo bay light and messed around with the door switches. I wired my test light in the fuse holder (always on now - Dead short ) and started unhooking everything from rear tail lights, cargo light, hatch switch, cig lighter and the hatch shocks and it is still lit up bright.

So has anyone had a random short happen in a weird place that I should be looking for???? Kinda need my Tach and MPH and oil press indicators

Any help would be great

If you are able to test for a dead short start isolating everything running through the fuse. I would start with everything you touched and start disconecting them see if that eliminates the short. Hopefully it is something simple.

Default No Dash Lights/Gages

It might be time to replace your ignition switch.

I would check your door switches – you said you ‘messed around’ with the door switches and they are part of the lighting system (triggers for the dome light and other things)

I know in modern cars when theres no dash lights it means your tail lights are out. I doubt that was around in 944 days though.

Found it but I don't know if I want to disclose where I found it..... Ok I will------ the pillar mount for the gauges was the issue.. the two little screws that I thought I was being careful with went right into the wire loom well now I know why my sun roof would open when I would close my doors
