I like the RA1 - the tire can be non directional but only in a dry environment and if you have an aggressive camber setting in the front, you can turn them inside out when it starts to wear, but not in the wet. Just not cheap and they get better when they get down on tread - we've done this on the track car several times.

Ed, my friend...
I run R888 on my track car. I would not run them as a street tyre, you will end up with rubber fragments all over your car with spirited driving! They are an awesome tyre on the track, but yeah, just get a nice Bridgestone or similar for the road. If you will send it to the track eventually and drive there, the R888 is extremely hard to beat.

Ed, I agree about the Kumho's. I had them, and still do on my 16" stock wheels. They are currently on the car. I broke a wheel and had to go back to stock. They should have a DOT tire that will do double duty for you at a reasonable price.
It's kind of stupid that it has become so damned hard to find a good selection of 16" rubber these days.

Im good, the city is a bit screwed with the quakes here, we had another 5 this morning, they just keep on coming!
The insurance company is lawyer'd up and getting out of paying out on my mums house on a technical definition, they are in part coming to the party but not what they should be, typical insurance companies.

It will be ok, they always say no the first time. Then you get a lawyer, then you go on TV, then they pay up and say sorry my bad.
