K, now you gotta post a pic of you in, under the dash...
If it's anything like I do when I get under there, everyone would have a hoot lookin' at your acrobatics!

For the record, docwyte and I have known each other for a long time and we enjoy a little verbal jousting now and then, no burn intended.
To actually answer the question, the MAP sensor is mounted in the engine bay and the wires have to run through the firewall (and underneath the dash) and get merged into the DME harness. Finding the MAP wires amongst the rats nest of other wires required the astronaut position, two hands and an orally fixated flashlight.

Ha! If you had a REAL motor in that thing then you wouldn't have to constantly work on it! Thumper motor FTW. ![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Ask Jordan about how I work on the car. Last month I had the top end of the engine apart and was cutting on it with an air powered cut off wheel. I think that counts as working on my own car...

And I quote from the ChevroBubba Repair Manual: "In order to remove the head from your LS1 small block, an air powered cut off wheel is required. You may find it advantageous to hold a flashlight in your mouth while you steady your cut off wheel with both hands..."

HAha! Actually I was installing an LS6 valley cover with PVC air/oil breather. 1997-2001ish LS1's have a boss that needs to be cut so the new LS6 valley cover can fit. Even though my motor came out of a 2002 Camaro SS, it fell into that "ish" and I had the boss.
It was a little freaky to be cutting on the engine block...

I love the idea, it looks like something I would have concocted if I would not have come accross this nifty little light. I have always hated having a maglight in my mouth as well. I found this at Cabellas Outdoor. It is comfortable to keep in your teeth and I can clip it and flex it anywhere if I get tired of tasting it.
