I can now die in peace knowing how this is done. I presume most people just crank'em on tight with their impact gun.

This is how I do mine. That's a long hex bit in the ratchet, once its tight I use a crows foot wrench adapter on my torque wrench for the final tightening.

I ground down a deep offset 22mm box end to hold the large nut. Seemed to work fine, but lately I just hit it w/ an impact.

Put a mark on the nut and strut rod so you can see any loosening of the nut.
