Red face Weird Flywheel Problem

Unlucky problem.. .found while doing a clutch change...

Flywheel - Supposingly there are 3 screws sticking out of the the Flywheel.. (should be some the markers for the 2 reference sensors).

Okay..... one of the reference sensors happened to be badly damaged, a careful look at the flywheel, I discovered that one of the 3 screws on Flywheel were damaged as if been chopped off (shortened), its the one that is mounted on a different orbit from the other 2 ..(i.e. furthest to the Left). I suspect this is probably a result from improper assembly of the reference sensor, done by some ******** in the past.

Anyway, remains of this "chopped off screw" is still attached to the Flywheel. A check at the mounting for the Reference Sensors(94410132103); it shows evidence of being tempered with (i.e. shaved off - so as to allow signal to be passed on, seems like a quick remedy for the significantly shorten "chopped off screw").

My question is: What is this screw for? Crank positioning? Rpm?

Any advise.. what should i do? New flywheel?
