Throttle Position Switch ?
I'm trying to determine if my TPS is faulty. Per the manual I have checked pins 4 & 6 and have gotten the correct readings for idle and just off idle. I have checked pins 1 & 2 on the connector for 5 V and that is correct. For the potentiometer check to determine if the resistance goes up from approx 300 ohms to 4.5K ohms I was using pins 1 & 2 on the switch itself as that is the best I could determine from reading the manual .
Is pin 1 & 2 the correct combination to check. If so mine seems to be showing the same resistance regardless of throttle position.
Any help would be appreciated. <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

Dunno about on the switch, but it is terminals 22 and 23 on the K/LR plug according to manual.
Guess you'll need either a really long set of test probes or two people to do this...

Thanks for the reply, I found the answer in the Post "Allow me to stump you" . It is pin 2 & 3 for checking the potentiometer on the throttle switch.
