Post Flywheel

Will a flywheel from a 1986 944 Turbo fit just fine on a 1987 car? Has anyone shipped there flywheel to Garity to have them lighten it?

Thanks
Dan

I've got a Garrity flywheel(porsche) in the garage going on next month with all the other stuff. I think he said 3 lb lighter than stock, $199.

i do not know if an 86 will fit on an 87, but a local machine shop in my area was able to take 4lbs off of my 86 flywheel. The Garrity price is about right, I paid $180 at my local shop.

REMINDER:

Make sure you also send the starter ring gear, pressure plate and the clutch disk. They will all need to be BALANCED as one unit.
