Angry Air Box

Looking for suggestions,or if any of you have, a good airbox for a 84 944t. i have tried quite a few places and they tell me that the boxes are in great then when they go to ship them they get back to me and tell me they are junk.I haven't been able to drive my car because of this. Or can somebody tell me of a good aftermarket intake system for them.
Thanks,

Forget trying to find a "perfect" stock air box. Almost all of them are broken in one place or another. Aftermarket is most likely your best bet - it also eliminates the issue of one of the bolts from the air box toasting the turbo. Try here for Pelican's answer:

my airbox is perfect, surprisingly so. i went to clean the filter today & it looks like my airbox was replaced sometime. it is in perfect condition and the screw threads are metal. one i messed with before had plastic threads that cracked open. im guessing these parts can still be gotten from porsche, but i have no idea of cost.

jdog, I've got an airbox in the garage from my '86 951. Was working fine when I took it off to install my MAF kit. Want it? I can get it out to you tomorrow...

It's in good shape. No cracks in the box anywhere. Some minor ones at the mounting holes where the bolts were overtightened, but nothing major.

Bang for the buck value? Check this out: <a href="http://forums.rennlist.com/forums/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic&f=18&t=001466" target="_blank">MAP sensor upgrade 1 </a>

We'll be doing some dyno-testing pretty soon to test out this MAP conversion...
