k27/6 fitment help needed

im trying to put a k27/6 turbo on my 86 951. when i went to put intake on noticed it was hitting on the water line for turbo. was hoping someone had a fix for this problem. thanks again

I think in order to fit the 27/6, you will need the low profile sensor. A few who upgraded the turbo's mentioned the same issue you are encountering in the following thread:

and this is why i joined this board. funny thing is my buddy is a tech at porsche and thought we needed to cut and ground wire. i once again thank u.

forgot to mention the part i ordered was duralast sw560. found a part number for napa fs158. seems to be twice the price and dont know if it fits. thanks aben for reminding me to put part numbers down. been busy trying to figure out why it wont run now. thanks again for all the help

Posting in this thread as a matter of documentation. Installing a k27/6 currently. The napa/autozone stubby sensor closes at 90c which could cause the pump to run too much. azmi951 pointed out in another thread that vdo 232.011.017.010 works, it closes at 110c. JEGS has it, item 918 232 011 for $33.99. I broke the nipple off my stock switch by accident so I soldered a wire on, should fit. It it doesn't work I'll get the vdo switch from jegs.
