Post Whose running SFR braided Fuel Lines?

I know that there have been previous posts on this but I'd like to see your view after a few months of running them.

Easy installation? Quality/better than replacing with Porsche parts?

Thanks in advance.

I have been using a similar setup that I did myself for the past few months. I at least sleep a little better. I just check the hose clamps with each oil and coolant check. I posted a how-to on the main 44/51/68 board.

You can't replaced the factory piece b/c they aren't removeable since they are crimped to the hard lines. the factory wants you to buy a whole line.

Be sure to replace the short rubber line on the fuel rail when you do the other two also. This item was recalled in 1990 by porsche. If the replacement was not done, get it done free. call 1800porsche and give them your vin to check for recalls. This is a good idea for anyone. Otherwise it's only a $40 part.

Check pictures on my website if you want to see what the SFR Fuel Lines look like installed. The process wasn't all that bad however I was a little scared cutting off the old crimps with a dremal and it sparks were flying. However I was being extremely careful and using lots of water to dilute the fuel so it wouldn't be flammable as much.

I made my own lines like Jason did. As he said if you go to the other board there is alot of information over there on it. Your fuel filter is back by your rear wheel so it is not affected.
