Post tork tube???

I just whent to my mecanic, and he toll me that my tork tube will need replacement. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ he said! about 1500$ CAN for a use one and 3100$ for a bran new + installation.

Do you think it's to much? and what do you think of a rebuild one?

Tanks

i have a used one, shipping would be astronomical, but you can have it for less than $500 if you take care of the shipping, as it's just sitting around useless to me...

I bought a good used one from Ian's for less than $200 I believe. Was shipped UPS with board bolted to the big end, shipping wasn't bad at all.

I'm testing my aluminum one. Ian's has the C3 clearance bearings, they're tighter than Porsche specified and tend to fail prematurely from what I've been finding out. My tube uses off the shelf bearings with the correct C4 clearance and is 30% lighter than stock. Testing should be finished soon.
