Yeah those are expensive prices, but because I don't have anything important to add to this here is a bunny with pancakes on his head....

Ian, too funny! <img border="0" alt="[hiha]" title="" src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" />
Seriously - is it even possible to spend $2400 on a turbo that would fit into a 951?
Maybe those 996TT guys should just stick K26s on, it's a larger number so they must be better than K24s, and cheaper too!
btw, maybe he was doing the "bag of sand" port & polish, but forgot to stay off the boost so it got into the turbos?? <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" /> J/K ..

sorry guys but a brand new k26/8 is not cheaper. just ask your dealer and you will see
$2200 is a normal price. most japanese good turbos for high HP cost much more than the Turbos for our Porsche.

you run 1.4 bar, really thats closer to 20psi than 21, 20.3 to be exact.... just thought you might want to update your sig....
21psi is 1.45bar

I haven't verified myself but I thought 1 bar was 14.7, x 1.4 is 20.5 = 21psi with rounding
I would imagine the 1 thing that keeps even used turbos for a 996 high is the price that the owners are willing to spend.
If you look at car modifications as a whole many times a higher quantity selling part for a higher end car is still higher priced than the same part for a lower selling but cheaper car because they know they can get it.
