Arrow which Sprocket and Flywheel Lock tool do you use?

I'm getting ready for a front-engine reseal, so where do you find
the following:

Sprocket Tool (to hold the sprockets during loosening/tightening)
Flywheel Lock

Thanks!

BTW, I'm going to use the Blaszak tensioning tool.

Is the engine in the car?

Really the easiest way to get that damn bolt out is to turn up your compressor PSI and use an impact gun. It can be a real bitch to remove that bolt! If you are going to use hand tools you will need a lot of leverage! Don't forget that might require a puller to get the balance shaft and timing belt pulley's off.

Yes, the engine is in the car. I was hoping to pull the whole thing out and change the rod bearings and clutch as well, but I can't secure a garage long enough for that.

Now the question is:

Does it matter if we use Factory or aftermarket Rollers and Tensioners? I'll be using Factory belts, just to be safe.

Thanks for the info.

Not typically but I would suggest that you purchase all your parts from a reputable company. Paragon Products usually have good oem stuff. Btw, in the Haynes manual there is an article on wedging the toothed pressure plate in order to jam the crank so you can apply pressure to that bolt.

sm if you are really lucky someone replaced the pressure plate bolts with allen head bolts, 6 point bolt heads. If this is the case then you can block the engine with a 6mm allen socket in one of the bolt heads. At tdc #1 one of the bolts is accessible through the hole in the bellhousing behind the wastegate. Just had a thought, you could replace that bolt temporarily with allen bolt then reinstall it when done. If you try this do NOT jerk the crank to loosen the front bolt, the allen socket will come out. Apply steady pressure untill it doesnot move then pull hard. Torque the bolt when done to 165 ft lbs. Good Luck Mark T.
P.S. torque on press. plate bolt is 18 ft lbs.

Thanks guys.

I found a flywheel lock from Sunset for ~$23 and the sprocket tool for ~$40.

I'll buy the tensioner and roller set from ZIMS, as they have the best price on that - 4 rollers/tensioners and 2 belts for $120.
