Question Good place for steering wheels?

Any recommendations for places to get replacement steering wheels for an 86 951? Has anyone installed the 930S steering wheel in their 951? I'm really looking for a Porsche wheel, not any of the aftermarkets.

Thanks.

I've held the 930s wheel, and it rocks.

I often find the worn threads on my 86 wheel to be a little hard on my hands, when I grab them from below. (sharp turns)

the 930s wheel was very smooth, and felt more comfortable.

A little expensive though.

I bought my 968cs wheel from Sunset Imports for $385 shipped to me. Any Porsche dealer can get this, and I imagine Paragon can as well. I like it.

The 930S steering wheel from AJ-USA is the way to go. Its around $360 for the wheel, crest, and adapter I think. I will post pics later if you are interested.

If you want to see pictures, go to 944S2.com, Tom Pultz's site. I don't recall where he got his wheel, but there's some good insight on his site.

I bought the 930S wheel from AJ-USA. It perfectly compliments my black interior. I couldn't be happier.

I'm looking for another Porsche right now and intend to buy another one for the new car.

For $25 more, it's difficult to pass up on the 968cs wheel with its one piece leather and embossed crest.

Vertexauto is a great spot to get MOMO wheels, I concur with the above as well.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the info folks.

Mark, that wheel looks pretty sweet. My car has the same interior color scheme. I really like the 930s wheel a lot - that's what I'm going with.

I definitely have to agree. Sometimes I actually think that my embossed crest is actually a little too subtle.

Here's a picture of me and my 968cs steering wheel entering turn 2 during a parade lap at Laguna Seca. In the mirror are the bathrooms on the hill above turn 1.

Thanks to Deni for the photo.

A bit OT, but what speakers are those in your door mark?
