1.2 bar "Safe" setting issue...
Hey guys - I know I've seen this issue a couple times (just searched without turning up much - undoubtably because the information I'm looking for was under a different thread).
I've read that it's normally due to a vacuum leak... or the TPS. That I can check error codes through This Web Site. (I just read those and have yet to search). But I Also though I'd read somewhere about resetting the KLR/DME by holding the throttle down for 15 seconds with the ignition on, but not running (might be imagining things here).
Would it make any difference that I had the battery removed for 2 days while I worked on the car? I've also seen some information talking about the car not running correctly in this situation (I've put 20 miles on the car - driveable, but neutered).
I just want to make sure I have all my bases covered before trying to work on the car in this miserable weather we have here right now... Thanks in advance guys (and gals).

I don't get it. What's the problem? You're only getting 1.2-bar of boost? Was this all of a sudden?
"But I Also though I'd read somewhere about resetting the KLR/DME by holding the throttle down for 15 seconds with the ignition on, but not running (might be imagining things here)."
This is to extract the blink codes on the later S2 & 968 cars. It blinks a light on the dash instead of requiring you to dig under the hood for it.

I installed the adjustable regulator from IceShark - pulled out the battery as well as most of the intake to get the alternator free. Since I did bust one line (the one that comes off the left intercooler pipe as viewed from the front), I can believe I might have gotten another one (these things are hard as rocks and brittle beyond belief). I just wanted to make sure it wasn't because of having the battery out for 40 some hours.
So, yes - all of a sudden, but with reason. And no, my repair on the one busted line isn't what I'd call 'professional' - but it should be air-tight..

Not now - now I think that you didn't quite align all the rubber connections on the turbo intake boot and driver side intercooler pipe when you reinstalled them. Do it again - and make sure you didn't fold under the boot at the intercooler on the bottom.

*chuckles* Were you a Nun that taught Catholic grade school in a previous life? That tone sounds famaliar. *grins*
Oh well, I needed to go back in there to fine-tune my wire placements. I guess 2 reasons make for more motivation (though not till this rain passes over - not like I need the boost on slick streets).
Thanks..

OW !!! I still have the scars on my knuckles from that ruler! Darn those Catholic nuns, they must have a special class where they teach them how to hit with those rulers!

Just as a follow-up....
Special tool obviously has been here before, nailed it on the head with the drivers side intercooler fitting. I failed to notice that there's NOT a lip on the throttle-body side of the connection and had the clamp a little off-center. So when I tightened it down, it pulled the boot off a little ways (not even very noticable by eye at first glance).
I get all of my boost now - though it seems to come on a tad slower than before (not starting point - but the mad rush is a little mre sedate). Probably just my getting accustom to how the car drives.... I finally turned 1000 miles this morning on the way home (only 7 weeks into ownership).
Thanks again...
