Its going to be an awefully small wing. I only have equipment to do maximum 11 x 11 x 2.5 inches..

Flux Capacitor

Just kidding. How about a replacement for the ashtray?

You may have seen my hideous try at creating a gauge holder in this location. My friends shop is too busy right now with real work.

How about a manual boost controler holder in the ashtray location that looks nothing like the one that I had my friends shop create....it was freaking ugly!

I will add I am 8 beers into a good night make that 9

Maybe just a flat piece that goes underneath the radio? The owner can drill out the holes for 1, 2 or even 3 gauges. In addition, he/she may even want to configure the piece for 2 gauges and a manual boost controller? The pieces out in the market at the time already have the holes precut. I am thinking of a piece that can be configured to the owners needs.

I am thinking of items that would get the most demand for your supply which in turn would give you the most ROI.

PS If you go with the door pull idea...how about an RSR style with red pull strap option

A flat plate cut to the size of the hole is really easy...

Dana,

My only concern is cutting the holes on the CF. Is there a possibility that it could split when drilling a 2.5" hole?

You cut slow.

It doesn't really "split" per say.

A hole saw though, probably not such a good idea. But then again, a hole saw on thin aluminum is not so good either.

What you do with CF is you cut undersized hole and then finish sand to the final size for a nice edge.

Are you able to do different finishes? I think the matte finish gives a more purpose driven look to CF, even if its being used strictly for bling.
I liked the interior door pockets. Easy to get off to start.

So I started making them.

I made a CAD file for the mold (which is inverse of the part). However, just to make sure it looked right before cutting the mold, I cut a positive (a simulated part) out of plastic. I didn't finish it (not a lot of use for it) with polishing out tool marks and stuff but this gives an idea what the mold (just image inverse) would look like.

Next up is cutting the mold. I need a different end mill before I can do that or I must change some radiuses. Probably can't do much more on this part until the correct end mills come in.

I'll be first in line for a set of those interior door pockets., then I can dump my crappy 'Aluminium' ones.

A/C ***** (all 4)
Ashtray replacement plate with boost **** cut out (great idea from another poster)
Seat ***** (the upper ***** on the seat back) I need some new ones with a longer inset
Porsche crest for the header panel. (shhhhhh must keep this one a secret)
Turbo emblem for the rear or a 951 emblem in the correct font
inset surround around the factory guages and dummy lights (the back plate)
Manual sunroof conversion pieces
Glove box arms

The items I can think of are limitless but the real question is how expensive will all of this be?

Sorry if this has been answered before, but what kind of types of CF are you capable of using -- i.e., are you using prepreg, or even some kind of a woven mat (so that painting wouldn't be necessary)? Or are you just using a nonwoven mat? It's not common with CF, but you had mentioned you're able to do it pretty cheaply so it did pique my interest.

the interior door handle cup would be cool but i think you'd really need to have the pull with it too. the plastic door pulls have always had a cheep feel to me.

as a bunch of people said, a cup holder would be great. if you did the part that holds the cup like the 'ultimate cupholder' and had the upper part slip under the console trip with a hole in it so the factory screw held it in place on the passenger side like this maybe cupholder
