Gearlever play
Problem...
One month after installing a quick Shift, the gear lever has increased play from left to right. Quick shift is installed at the back. Are there any bushings that maybe are worn ? Has any one faced that before ?

Pop off your shift lever and boot so you can look at the connection between the shift lever and the rod that goes back to the tranny. I had alot of play before I installed an SFR short shift and found that the pin on the shift lever was really worn (kind of "ovalized"). Most of the looseness is gone now but I still have some play due to the pin receptacle (on the rod) also being worn. I guess too fix that you would have to get a new rod or just take it to a welding shop and have a new pin receptacle welded on. To get the rod out I think you have to remove the tranny :-( In so far as the linkage on the tranny itself,,, I think you already have that covered with your shift kit. Good luck.
