Unhappy Bucking/Stalling Problem

I just recently bought a 1986 944 turbo. I have noticed that when I really push the car to 6,000 rpm by third gear the car starts bucking and will stall out if I don't let off the gas. This has happen several times when I go WOT to get on a highway.

I did a search, but couldn't find any solutions.

Anyone have any ideas where I can start to find the problem?

Thanks,
Rich

My car is at highway speed in 2nd, must have different speed limits were you live. Ok, I do the same thing but I keep telling myself I shouldn’t be doing this.

What is the boost gauge reading when it starts to cutout

The boost gauge is usually at 1.6 bar. It seems to happen a full boost.
