Just a quick question from UK. Brand new here...
I have a Porsche 944 Turbo S with a standard (Brembo 928S4 type) brakes fitted. My question - is it normal when I drive my car off in the morning with cold brakes I need to press my pedal a little deeper to obtain normal breaking. After couple of braking attempts the pedal reacts much sharper and brakes bite with quite a vigour. Is this normal behaviour. The perception is a minute one just enough for me to feel this.
Same happens if I drive on the highway for 15 minutes without using brakes.
What I am trying to find out here is, if the brakes are cold / hot would I feel this on my brake pedal or should the pedal always feel physically the same?
Thanks, best
Simon

As long as it's not spongy at first (which would indicate air and a system in need of being bled), it could be the type of pad you're using. Some require heating up before they have a decent coefficient of friction, so maybe that's the case with yours.

I'm having the same problem on my Cup car, with the same calipers and Pagid race pads. At first we thought a disc might be loose, pushing the pads back but that isn't the case.
I find it very annoying, especially annoying.
Any more insight would be welcome.

I noticed that after a few hard stops, the brake pedal feels much better and the car stops like WHOA..not sure what kinda pads are on there.
How far down can you guys push your pedal before you get to the point of resistance? (Turbo S guys only please) I can get mine about level with the top of the gas, MC recently replaced and brakes recently bled x 2.
