Try putting your old chip back in. Sometime the sockets have oxidation problems over time. You can still buy the EPROM new and program them. Not hard to do, just need find a programer to borrow and a known good KLR chip.

Second, Pauly whats wrong with your DME? If it has bad solder joints take it to a guy who is good working on TV's and have it resoldered. I did that with my old 924S computer and it turned out great.
