valve spring tool
What kind of tool do you use to compress the spring?
The standard level or the similar to a bearing puller?
I have to do a job on my 931 and my 951 and I wonder if only one tool can do both? and which one?
And if someone have a procedure it might help

The best way to do it is to take the head off and have the head refreshed. It's MUCH easier to replace the valve springs when the head is on the bench. It's also a good idea to replace the cam followers (easy) and to replace the valve guides/seals.
According to the factory manuals you need to take the head off and use tool P200a or special tool US 1020 (look like modified C-Clamps). Then you have to check and adjust the valve spring length using special tool 9138/1.
