To get the internal type number, look at the first three digits of the partnumber. If you take for example at the body part numbers:
944 S2 LHD 944.500.901.0
944 S2 RHD 945.500.901.0
944 turbo LHD 951.500.901.0
944 turbo RHD 952.500.901.0
944 Cabrio LHD 941.500.901.10
944 Cabrio RHD 942.500.901.10
I don't know about special parts for the limited 944 turbo Cabrio - but a few official photos shows a car with [BB-PW 953] on the licence plate. But 953 is also a 911 variant...maybe just marketing

Also, I don't think you'll find any part numbers starting with 952. To me, these bits of information imply the RHD cars are really 951s reconfigured for RHD... and for whatever reason Porsche chose to note that on the warranty booklet sticker but not in the VIN itself.
Anyone know about other RHD Porsches and their model numbers? Are NA 944s refered to as something else? What about 911s or 930s, etc.?
