boost cutout
hi i have a question for all you experts.i just bought a 86 turbo car is extremely fast (saw 17psi)on autometer gauge.but after going through 3 gears under full boost car hits wall then won't take any throttle with out dying.then let idle for a minute and is fine again.also i don't know of any mods.bought car from loser car dealer who just took car in on trade.but makig 17 psi assuming either something isn't working right wastegate or something else or there is chips?

please explain "out of gear"
-does it feel like you've jabbed the brake pedal?
-next time it happens slow down to 20/30mph (if possible) and see if the car stalls. Sounds like a fuel cut off. They usually occur in third.

sorry for poor explanation i meant hit around 6500 rpm i have very little time driving car.also maybe you could explain my plugs there covered with what looks like sooty oil residue very bad also inside of car smells like ehaust very strond under acceleration?

well with stock chips the rev limiter is around 6500rpm. But if the car is going into a "limp" mode and not letting you make boost, some thing is wrong there.

well had another chance to drive car today.boost is stopping at 14psi now but motor still cuts out after beating on car for about 2 min.then drive easy for a few minutes and car is fine again?
