Low down on Guru KLR chip?
Hey guys in a box of parts i got i found a set of chips and the KLR chip was a guru V 1 i believe.
Anyone have an idea about the chip? Im mostly interested in if it poses any risk to an engine if i plan on selling it.

I would hate to put it on Ebay and have it screw up someones car. Ide rather throw it away.

I'm using GURU chips currently. Ever since I bought the car, it's ran fine, albeit laggy until ~3000-3300rpm with a K/26/6. Although I think I've also got a vacuum leak. But I haven't run into any noticeable engine problems as of yet due to the chips (knock on wood).

I tried Guru chips back in the day. The car ran like crap with the chips. I ended up getting Vitesse chips.
I can't belive anyone would pay for a Guru chip today.
My opinion would be to throw it away and not risk screwing up someones car.

I ran guru chips in my car back in the day and they ran great. We used my car on a dyno day to test several different chips and guru came out on top with the most power and best afr. Search and you will find a post .

From all the reading I did, it seemed there were some chips that weren't flashed properly, or just weren't new chips and not erased properly, therefore some trash in the programming. Just my take on it. and that only. SO some did work fine. Some did not. I honestly don't know who would buy one for any reason at this point. But there are some out there........

No way to tell if they were part of that first group of ICs that he purchased used and didn't erase the chip correctly (too short a time). After that first batch, they worked well.

I ran Guru chips in my 1st 951. It was an 86 and other than the low MPG no matter how it was driven and the turbo lag between 2700/3100rpm they were ok. I do think the Danno chip made the car run richer than required. I had the Danno maf, link piggyback, both Guru chips, 3 bar fuel regulator and the hand held controller. This was my hiighway, long trip car and it did well. There was a claimed 275 hp at the rear wheels, Im not ao sure about that satatment, I had no real operational issures at all with it.
