Post garrett GT 35

I know that there are 951's set up with garrett gt25's, but does anyone think this car could run well with a garrett gt35? it produces 475 rwhp on the 3rd generation rx7. Any ideas? It spools up much faster than a t 78 and produces about the same power with less top end, is it possible to put a t 78 on a 951? thanks. (just curious BTW )

A T78 is one huge mother of a turbo...

I met someone at an import auto show with that turbo in a supra...
He was making 1000hp at the crank...

I know John anderson had a T66 turbo in his 951...

I am not sure how that would work. I'll have to defer to "Maximum Boost" and look up the chapter on turbo sizing.
I DO know that most of the rotational mass of a turbo is in the turbine.

Be careful comparing RX-7s and 951s, they're totally different cars. If you want a large turbo there are really nice guys out there with lots of expierience that can help you. cough*TURBOTIM*cough

From what I have understood...

A Garrett T04 60-1 HiFi is the largest turbo that can fit under the intake manifold. It is capable of supporting 500hp. I have this on my 951. Once on boost it pulls very strong, however, it does not spool till 3500-4000.

Well I was thinking about getting either the sfr intake manifold or the milledge one ( which is a little more expensive ) so i was thinking about the largest turbo that can be run on the 951. If i have a 3.1 liter, Is it possible to put a to4 S? or something bigger? the gt 35 sounds like a real powerful turbo and it spools up much faster than the t78.

Not a turbo selection expert by any means.

The T04 60-1 HiFi is the same turbo we use on the 3L. It works much better on the 3L than the 2.5L. Here is some further info on the unit.
