Default Quick head gasket question

So I am FINALLY getting around to getting my rebuilt 951 running. I have a cometic gasket on the car now, and I bought a used head that is o-ringed. Should I re-use the cometic gasket or get a widefire ring gasket? I think I have a new wirefire gasket in the basement.

Also, the belts are 3 years old, but the car never actually ran. So, I am thinking to reuse the belts, but I might go ahead and buy new belts. I am honestly thinking it is just a HUGE pain in the *** to swap the belts entirely out without taking the accessory pulleys off.

Cometic head gaskets and o-ringed heads / blocks are not compatible. Time to go searching for the wide fire one in the basement.

They're probably okay and who's to say the set you buy hasn't been sitting on a shelf for 3 years. Then of course that means the set you have could have been produced 6 years ago. I would look at it this way, belts are cheap, engines are expensive.

I really just need to get this thing running under its own steam. Once I get it running I am good, so I am thinking to change the belts and a few other things before i ever really take it to a DE. Basically, I am moving to Japan for 6 months, and I need it to move under its own power to put into storage.

I was thinking the same re: the head gasket. I am pretty confident I have one in the basement.

I looked closer and there is a bubble under the viton of one of the layers of the cometic gasket. That seems definitely incorrect, so I will go ahead and get the vicor reinz gasket.
