I called a few places.
It seems like most places specialize in 911's.

Does anyone know someone who can look at a 944 turbo for me? (sometime this week)
I want someone who is familiar with 944's.

Modderman in Mountain View will do a number on any 944 you bring in there. My old N/A was in excellent condition, but by the time Dave was
done inspecting it per the buyer's decision I promptly dropped my price $850. He races these cars and knows them in and out. I wouldn't take my car in for service there though, their prices are not very competitive.

You might also try CT Automotive in Campbell, T&D Performance, also in Campbell, or Precision Motorworks in Santa Clara.

Yep...if you're close I recommend CT automotive in campbell as well. Really knowledgeable staff and the owner is a 944 owner as well.

I have also heard of CT Automotive and only good things from the PCA Loma Prieta group (Los Gatos area). I use Fast Lanes Porsche in Santa Cruz since I am on this side of the hill. He (Tim) is very knowledgable on 951's and 944's. Good Luck
