That article would make sense. I had suspected something like this.
I couldn't imagine that the rotors would warp, then straighten out again.
It must be using the Pagid Orange pads on the street for low speed driving leaving "deposits" on the disks.
I'm not sure how to fix this though. Maybe I'll have to have the rotors turned on a lath (just a tad).
I want to be able to sell them as the rotors and pads weren't cheap, and they are almost new.
Should I have them turned? Also, would this happen again to a prospective buyer (if I were to sell them... the rotors & pads)?

I run into the same problem with PFC pads when running them at lower temperatures. In fact, I've ended up with it on the cool down lap.
I use a scotch brite pad on a drill and clean them up with no problem.
I'm looking for a new brand of pads without the transfer issue.

Thanks for the advice.
Am I to pressume that the rotors and pads are fine then? (I'm asking because I'm getting ready to put up a bunch of stuff up for sale, and want to know if I should disclose anything or take action to rectify problems, etc...).

Tony,
I think since you are going to sell the rotors, IMHO turning them to remove a slight amount of metal would work best and look good too.
Just my .02 cents .

Tony,
I still think your rotors and pads are fine. If you got them out on the track odds are they'd feel like new again once you got them hot enough to remove the transfer.
By using the scotch-brite you get the pad material whoo-ha off without losing any rotor life.
It's worth a shot.
