Post 928 Rim question

I have available a set of 928 S4 rims...all 4...anybody know if these are ok to fit on an 89 951? I'm assuming from a search i did which turned up some '928' stamping on the rear rims for 87 and up wheels people were referencing that the rears are actually the same, but anybody ever try slapping the front 928Sr rims on? Spacers, no fitment issues, etc?

TIA,

Jason

They should fit, all 87+ are similar offsets, should also clear the front brakes on an 89 as they are the same as S4 brakes. Are the 7's and 9's or what?

If they're the flat dish, they should be 7's and 8's- nice wheels- they actually came on some of the 944's- even some turbo's, although I don't know why- I even have a Porsche brochure-type picture that was used in C&D or R&T a LONG time ago, to show the new models for the upcoming 1989 model year- it either showed them on the S2 or the Turbo- can't remember which, but I could probably find it if anyone cared. Anyway, if they are the rims, the ones w/the little rectangles around the outer edge, then they are the ones and are forged, rather than cast, and, are relatively light- I think they look a little more Mercedes-ish than the other Porsche rim's from the era, but I also think the Club Sports (stock Turbo S) look a tiny bit like a Mercedes wheel too- the Club Sports happen to be my second favorite LOOKING Porsche wheel, but, unfortunately, they don't come in 17" or 18"...
