Default who has the best short shift kit?

Looking to get rid of the factory linkage (on top of the trans... it's sloppy) and get a short shift kit installed.

Who is making a good kit these days?

XSChop posted a picture of a nice one he made in a thread about a week back. Besides that, Deutsch9 (manufactured by a german company called *edit* I actually can't remember their name... someone will), or possibly Olli's company is making them now? I forget what his company is called. Avoid Deutsche Parts (ebay) and Weltmeister, they have a history for not fitting correctly.

Yeah... nice stuff, but I can't buy anything from their site.....

And while I like the shifter... I'm looking for something to get rid of the crappy linkage at the transmission and still do the reduced travel.

There was someone on here that purchased one from them, I forget who. I thought that they used to have USD prices and options on their website but I don't see it now. On their blog they show some prototype short shift linkage too, might be worth an email to see what they have and if you can get it.

Why not ?
That sifter is made by my friends company. A real nice sifter, which we are going to use with my son's project 951.
My friends company will introduce shortly a linkage which might suit your needs nicely. I have seen a prototype; and it was real good.

If you are looking for more track oriented sifter; i recommend this Shark manufactured item. Drove once a 968 CS with this sifter, and it felt real "pro"

I have been using a short shift gear linkage that I bought from Paragon Products many years ago, it works and feels perfect with the rest that has remained completely stock, gear **** included.

It's a ball joint design, and when I look now at the picture on the PP website, it suggests that their current offering isn't a ball joint design anymore. I would check with Jason before ordering.

XSchop is the best product out there. The replacement of the shifter is a waste of time. Save your money and buy the XSchop. This product actually modifies where it is needed, at the transmission. I have both and the XSchop is the best of both.

30% is perfect IMO....
I am still building these, 100% chromoly construction, HMA spacers and Chromo-Teflon heim...Just PM
How difficult is the install for this piece of linkage, and can "big hands" get in there to do it? I've never touched the transmission linkage before, but this seems like the way to go.

xschop SSK works great i have a simlier one just like that, but it just clicks right in its awsome. it gets rid of the notchy feeling completely. I even had the shifter handle bushing replaced prior to changing the shift linkage and didnt make the much of a difference. i have stock shifter handle.

I installed mine in about 15-20 minutes and didn't even jack up the car. I had a LED headlamp on with a
10mm, 12mm, and 13mm ratchet wrench. You can re-use your factory set screws, just add a little blue Loc-Tite.
