Might need to sell my Red 951 Fast
I'm seriously considering buying a 993TT today because a good friend of mine took it in trade in his car lot.
For those of you that have followed my development on my red 88 951, you know it's not the typical bolt-on modified 951.
It's an extensively modified car with a TON of money and development time invested.
This car is basically a full race car, with a nice new interior, and is nice and quite (due to the 3 Borla XR-1 Race mufflers.. with no back pressure), and street springs installed (250lbs/350lbs).
All that would be required to make this car a dedicated race car would be to install race seats (which I also have ... Sparcos), and a 5 pt harness.
I've got receipts for over $20,000 just in the engine/exhaust.
It's a 2.5L car that puts out over 375HP to the wheels SAE corrected, at 1 bar boost, on 91 octane pump gas!!!
The only part on the engine that is stock is the intercooler, the block, and the pistons. Everything else has been modified or upgraded.
Factory Block/pistons
Carillo Rods
Raceware Fastenters/Head Studs
Lightented/Knive edged/ modified crank
5.5lbs aluminum flywheel
New clutch, new clutch master/slave/high pressure line
New motor mounts, brake booster, 33/5 proportioning valve, and more... lots more!
Speed Force Racing 4 into 1, Burns 321 STainless header/cross over, with a 304SS 3" exhaust using (3) Borla XR-1 Race mufflers (cost over $3500)
John Milledge Head/Billet Cam/Valvetrain (spend over $4000)
Full Garrett turbo, 60-1Hifi/.69 a/r stage 5 trim
Intake cut in 3 pieces and extensively ported to match the John Milledge Head/valve train ($1500 spent).
Larger throttle body.
Tial 46mm wastegate
All new hoses, waterpump, radiator tank, etc... on and on. Nothing has been left. Everything has been replaced.
1989 Turbo S tranny with cooler
Huntley Racing Carrera Stage 2 race suspension (no torsion bars)
993TT Big Red Front brakes with new Pagid Blue pads all around.
Weltmeister sway bars front/rear
New ContiSport tires (255/17 x 215/17) on factory 993 cup wheels
Lindsey Racing MAF/Pro-M, Custom Mapped chip.
The interior of the car was pulled from a mint condition '86 totaled car. The interior is MINT condition. Seats were professionaly recovered in full leather ($1200).
Short block/clutch has 5k miles on it. Head/valvetrain/headers/cross over/turbo has 2k miles on it.
Turbo S tranny has 35k miles on it.
I've not listed a TON of new stuff the car has on it, for the sake of keeping this post reletively short.
The car is EXTREMELY fast at a low boost level of 1 bar, and corners on rails due to the suspension.
I would let it go for $25k. You could not come close to building this car for $25k.
If I can sell it fast, in order to buy the 993TT, then I will. If not, then I'll keep the car.
Please... no low ball offers or tire kickers.
If you buy this car, you will have an awesome 951 as where aren't very many like it period.
The car needs nothing but maybe a larger intercooler :-) Everything inside the car is perfect as new.
No power steering (trivial as the car turns easy), and a new a/c compressor/clutch converted to R134A.
Interested people please call the number below.

Believe me this is the car I DO NOT want to sell.
I am only going to try to do this deal because it's a 993 Twin Turbo..... and that's the only car I consider a better car than the 951.
I never thought I would be buying a 993TT due to the high cost.... and I won't be if I don't sell both my supercharged 968 and my modded 951 :-(

Really, the description and pics don't do the car justice.
I just can't believe the power this car makes at 1 bar.
It's really amazing what a matched turbo/head/header/valve train will do for these cars.
The only thing left for the car is a huge spearco intercooler.
Then it's simply "done".
There's just nothing left to do after that. I've maxxed out what you can do with these cars (other than a larger engine... but that's just a short block... it would still require everything I've already done).
Plus I'm bored with these cars. It's time for a new toy.
I've built the crap out of the 951, supercharged my 968, and what's left after that?

sorry to hear you are trying to get outta the 951 family...i have followed your car for awhile...it is incredible to say the very least! Goodluck with your purchase. The 993tt is in my opinion one of the most sought after 911's on the market. Is it modified at all?? A friend of my fathers has a 96' model with intake, exhaust, ecu upgrades...and a ride in his car makes my 951 feel like a civic....well at least for now..lol. Be sure to post pics of the car if you get it...we all want to drool a little.

Hey
The 993TT sold already. I wasn't willing to put up all the 85k for the new car w/o selling at least one of my cars quickly.
All I got for offers on my 951 were offers from some of the listers here for 17k, 18k, etc...
What a joke.
Anyway... the car is not for sale anymore because I'm not going to buy the 993TT (since it sold).
BTW.. I ran a 385HP to the wheels on the dyno last week at 15psi boost!!! (SAE Corrected on a dynojet 248C). WOW.
All I need now is a bigger intercooler!
I'm thinking of a custom intercooler to replace the factory radiator, and go with two smaller 996 radiators in front of the new intercooler but to the sides. I have to get off the bumper cover to see what the heck I can fit in there.
Anyway... I'm still in 951 land!

These cars are regularly listed on autotrader for under $60,000, and I'm sure an extremely nice one can be picked up for somewhere in the mid 60's.

With that extra $20k or $25k, looks like you can keep the 951 and get a nice 993tt. I suppose you may have to scrape a few pennies together for sales tax, unless you can somehow manage to register it through a friend in Oregon state or something.

Tony,
still selling the 968 'SC'?
I had emailed you about it and you mentioned it might be going on the guys lot. I've decided to buy a car no sooner than 1st of July, so perhaps you'll still have it then... I'll be keeping it in mind if that is it is still for sale.
