Ignition amplifier systems typically allow (and suggest) you to increase the plug gap which they infer will allow for better flame wall propagation, etc. (bigger spark-cleaner burn). Don't know if that's actually the case. Under high boost/high rpm conditions apparently it's tougher to ignite, hence the recommendation of the TEC III manual (and by Ross at SDS) to decrease the gap and insure a spark of some kind. At least that's my take on it .

AFAIK smaller gap insures spark under more extreme situations. Mine's set@ stock. I'll probably leave it that way though I'm thinking about doing a coil (already have wires), I'll leave the gap alone.
Anyway, update replaced throttle position sensor now I have boost leaks (peak 14psi or so)but running very strong. So once that's done it should be good to go. Translation 16-19psi for 5k miles of heavy use, no internal problems so far.
