83 Steering Rack
Anyone have an 83 steering rack for sale? I am looking for a non power assist steering rack for the track car.
Has anyone just disconnected the power steering pump?
One less reservoir of fluid to worry about.

Alan,
They are becoming hard to find, they are usually worn out. We converted out race car to manual rack 4 years ago and discovered we had to lengthen the tie rods, not a big job but necessary.
Another good idea is to sleeve the end of the tie rod to limit the travel in the rubber bushing. We can make the mods for you if you find a suitable rack for you're needs.
