I recommend Rogue tuning by far the best product out there that money can buy, unsurpassed tech support and the best prices are down to earth unlike other vendors who think they are selling to the Bentley crowd

For $1,000 I would keep it stock and do the very best I could to clean it up. While $1,000 will get you a little extra power it won't be significant. But if you do more of a clean stock, they are quite spectacular to look at.

If I just wanted to get an A-Tune... other than converting my DME what else would I need to purchase?

A 3bar fuel pressure regulator, or adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

is that exhaust full? like from the downpipe back or a catback.

a chipped/full exhaust 26/6 gets around 250rwhp, if you have a better wastegate.

Right now looking at your budget, you're looking at just switching chip vendors /3bar fpr/ and a wastegate.

Anything else for more power will put you over your budget. If you can find a used vitesse maf setup for under 1000 I'd go that route. You're close to being maxed for the stock 26/6.

That is just for power mods, you could refresh your suspension and get a wastegate as a different route.

100% I don't know if you're being serious, Clown, but this is the bast place for the money to go. $1k will get you at least 5 days or 20 sessions out on the track. That will make you faster than 5k in mods will if you've never been. Besides, what's the point in owning a 951 if you never drive it on the track. That's like having a hot girlfriend that you never, well...you get it.

1k **** where do you live. The cheapest track session I could find at texas motor speedway was 520 and thats if you use your car. If you use one of thiers its 1500. Same with skip barber his are like 900 a day or so.

Don't waste your time at TMS. The road course was an afterthought and it sucks. Maverick region PCA DE's are the ticket... $200-$300 for a weekend, 8 x 25 minute sessions with an instructor in the car. They alternate between Motorsport Ranch in Cresson and Eagle's Canyon Raceway in Slidell/Decatur. There's one at MSR in Cresson the last weekend of October, you should stop by and see what it's all about.

The track pics in my sig were taken at Motorsport Ranch in Cresson.

Sorry for the hi-jack, but driving skill enhancement has a much better ROI than horsepower, even though horsepower is a lot of fun if your car is a daily driver too.

Matt I completely agree with you. Ya when i googled it all I found was the TMS. I am currently...broke. Damn cars lol. Hopefully I will be able to get around to it in Jan or so. I need to get my car running properly first.

This thread certainly has twists. Are you even interested in DE or track days? If so, $1000 will be gone in a hurry in fees, pads, tires, suspension, etc.

If you just want a nice, 25 year old car that is fun to drive and gives minimal headaches, Scott H is on the money.

Seriously..

A-Tune Rogue Tuning A-Tune $300.00
3 bar FPR Lindsey Racing 3Bar FPR $83.00
MBC Lindsey Racing MBC $65.00
Dual Port Wastegate Lindsey Racing LR dual port WG $420 OR Pauer Tuning TiAL dual port WG $340.00

= $868.00 (with LR wastegate) OR $788.00 (with TiAL wastegate)

Personally i have the TiAL unit in my 951 but alot of people do run the LR unit.

Thanks Scott H i miss read the site!
