Yeah...what a blast from the past, eh?

Ordered a couple of sets of these studs for the money pit from the GM online for 76 cents/stud. May prove handy in the future.

Noticed some use copper and other SS nuts together with a flat washer. Anything else to know on this option?

I used the copper lock nuts ... from some local fastener supplier ... The Porsche prices are crazy .. They work great for me ..

The OP has the studs already but if he were starting from scratch, I would say those are a nice set. I saw those at Eric's. I am not a fan of SS with that kind of heat, but I guess they are OK. They work really nicely and go in easy ...

+1 for Rennbay stud kit. Top quality and no issue with the SS on exhaust side. Mike

Get two sets from Travis... one for exhaust and one for intake!

Timely bump. I just bought a set of the Saturn studs for $.62 a piece. They are discontinued now, so who knows how much longer there will be inventory. If anyone needs any, I can get them cheaper than anyone else can (I am a factory GM parts guy)

I bought 2 sets of the Saturn studs. Once I got them, I thought they were external torx, so I ordered a snap-on socket (I think it was E6 or something). It doesn't fit on right. I think it just takes a plain socket, probably 5mm like Eddie said.

I used anti-seize.

Hi Ashkan hope all is well
I believe that is correct .. I bought the whole set of torx sockets, but a 5mm socket seemed to work also
Best regards

Hey! We need to do another GTG, my black 951 will be roadworthy soon!

BTW I went to 2 local GM dealers and neither could get the studs. I found them online, and this was last year.

I stumbled across another part number whilst billing out a Duramax job today. The stud is stainless steel, overall length of 47mm with a proper torx end. The stud side has 13mm of threads and the nut side has 22mm of the thread.

GM part # is 1161143 with a list of $2.61, wholesales at $1.96 each per GM.
