No doubt.

I've seen that stuff make a mess of things. Clogs up heater cores, radiators... ugh.

no doubt this is a risk. but, compared to pulling a head it's nothing.

and don't ask me how i know the stuff works wonders. because it does...

and beats pulling the head any day.

i have a couple of friends that i called and told them when things were going wrong....

so, they had a pretty good idea about how bad the situation got.... like, real bad.

next, i call them with the results.... and on the other end of the phone... gasps, followed by the "wowwww's"

that was like 1,700 miles ago. and still holding.....

oh, and did i mention it beats the crap out of pulling the head ?

car ran nice and cool during the big heat wave too.

just sayin' this is an option, if you want to drive away today for like, 55 bucks.

I had no problem pulling the head to really fix the issue. I might try this if I was desperately broke down and I owned a Pontiac Station Wagon but a highly modifed turbo car?

So it fixes split seal rings on the head gasket? Dude, this is a serious thread.

You guys are being too harsh on Allen, you missed the point that he is always trying to help, as a matter of fact sometime back when I was having some coolant leaking out of my radiator he suggested to carry a few of the following cans in the case that I had to fill my radiator, thanks Allan.

well we know that there is the right way of doing it.... but now, being able to speak from personal experience with one of these engines, i think the potential gain vs the potential harm is considerable.... *(and, i got to keep my streak of never doing any serious wrenching alive !) now we can all safely say that pulling the head is the proper procedure.... but i've got a very postive outcome w/out any visible side effects (so far)..... but i'm not running a turbo either. so, would it hold up in a car running high boost ? who can really say ? but, it'd sure be a hoot if it did !

3, 6 months down the road? have to let you know when i get there.
