Alternatively, roll it back further than it should really go and write "Targa" on the rear wing <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" />
Sorry, it's Friday

Rhesus -
When you say it's acting like it should with the key in the off position, do you mean that you're telling the sunroof to go up and it's going down, or do you mean that it just never stops going down until it's totally retracted?
If the sunroof goes back and never stops until the arms are totally retracted, then chances are your relay is toast. Sunroof relays are a smidge expensive, so see if there's a local 944 owner that'll meet you for a test swap.
If the sunroof goes back when you're pressing the button up, then you prolly have a limit switch issue, in conjunction with the relay.
My bet is the relay, especially if the sunroof used to work fine and you haven't messed with the limit switches.
HTH!

yes, that sounds like the problem; it just started happening recently. while holding the buttonn, the arms still retract when the SR is down until the arms are fully disengaged (happened on the freeway the 1st time- quite annoying). sounds like the relay as i suspected, then. thanks for the help.
