Post K&N Cone Filter for 951?

Is there an adapter for this? Will it result in any power loss? I'm trying to get rid of the airbox, it takes up to much room, is loose, has broken pieces all over, and causes a hassle. I heard Kokeln sold one, where might I find something like this???

koeklin makes a bracket. lindsey sells it for $150 with a filter.

there is alot of debating wether or not it does any good.

-you would be sucking in "HOT" air instead of cold. (air that passes through the intercooler is hot on the other side.)

-you would still have a heck of a curvy intake setup.

I use a K&N filter, but I had fabrication done so that the filter is under the drivers front fender. CompTech did the original fabrication. With this placement, the motor receives cold air and you still have the rain protection. Mine is installed rather high in the fender, but there are several positions available in this area to locate the filter. Coincidentally, my air filter is not as large as the posted photograph, but the motor acheives desired kpa #'s (240+) and does has required any Lambda corrections from the MoTeC to run .86-.83.

86944Turbo,

What type of work did Comptech do. Do you have any pictures. I am thinking about making my own intake system. I have the stock air flow meter, and I am thinking of trying to replace the stock rubber J boot with something else. My intent is to place a cone filter where the stock snorkle goes in the fender.

You will need a replacement you your stock rubber J pipe, like the one Sean951 made for me. He also made my intercooler pipes. My MAF didn't not come with this pipe, and I didn't want to mount it behind the intercooler.

The fourth line is for the cyclic vavle. I dont use mine (took it out actually) because I have a LR wastegate and MBC. I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem making one for cyclic valve equiped cars though.
