Default FS: 2.7l Engine/Head SOLD

For sale is the engine out of my 89 NA with 152000 miles. Would like $1500 for the complete engine with all accessories but am more than willing to sell just the head for $800. Any combination of engine/head/accessories is for sale and I can be reasoned with.

Also I am parting the entire car and the thread for that can be seen here:

https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-...ng-89-n-a.html

Thanks,

Tyler

Did a compression check today. Stone cold engine because the coolant line going from the expansion tank to the water pump area was ruptured after the accident from hitting the blades on the alternator so I didn't feel like making a mess or rigging something up.

Results:
Cyl 1 ~ 210
Cyl 2 ~ 210
Cyl 3 ~ 210
Cyl 4 ~ 200

Default stupid question? i dont know.

I may already know the answer to this is no but im not sure. Would the 2.7l head fit to a 2.5l crankcase? I really want four valves

No, and this is an 8V head. Only the S2 and 968 had the 16V heads and were both 3.0 blocks. I'm assuming you meant you wanted a 16V head, and not a 4.

$800 for the head and $500 for the block. If you come pick it up I will sell everything you see in the pictures plus the alternator and A/C compressor for $1200

There were a 2.5 engines with 16 valve heads in Europe.

Those were in the states, too. Although I am unsure if the S coolant passages marry up to a 2.5 8V block.

Fairly sure it is the 2.5 block, I don't think a lot were produced and it seemed to lack mid range torque.
