Default Seized rear hatch pin

I wanted to adjust my hatch pins to tighten it down and address that last niggling little 'tapping' sound as I go over bumps etc.

The first side was easy. Loosened the nut, wound the latch pin in slightly, and retightened. -That one's perfect now.

On the second side however, I can loosen the nut, but the pin doesn't want to budge.

Anyone got any hints/tips/things to check?

Cheers!
Keith

A touch of rust or something maybe? Spray with Kroil and wait and see if it breaks loose. Tap tap on it a little bit after with a small rubber mallett. Not too much help - sorry.

I had better luck adjusting the cable going into the release unit.

I had a similar problem... the pin eventually broke off I wound up replacing both pins with the stainless ones from Rennbay and replacing the weird square rubber-covered nut thingy on the one side with a washer and two hex nuts... I keep meaning to hit up someone parting a car for a new one, but I almost never thing about it

When I removed my rear wing that pin snapped and I had to drill and re-tap it (M8x 1.25) I copied the other pin in SS and reinstalled with antiseize....what a pain

Replace with parts from Rennbay, same issue.
