Post Dash Air Vent fix??

The center dash air vent on my 1986 951 has "loose vanes". Basically the vanes (aka louvers) will not stay in place. They are loose and always return to position pointed at the ceiling. The result is no A/c for the driver!

Any idea how to "tighten" them up? They do not appear cracked or damaged.

Ideas? - Mark

You can remove it with the dash moulding.

I used a small dab of silicone grease (clear) to lube up the center post and attachments to the sides. Like the day it was new.

I have no idea how long it will last, since I have not run air through it.
