Question what size testpipe / cat bypass

For a 951 with a stock turbo, is there any benefit
in going for a 3inch testpipe over a 2.5 inch?

All the vendors seem to offer a 3inch ~$500 solution which allow a high flow cat or resonator (SFR) to be easily swapped in.
Looks like only huntley offer a 2.5inch testpipe. $275. There was no photo of this on the website, I'm guessing it only replaces the cat section, rather than right back to the downpipe (cause stock is 2.5 anyway right) ? Seems expensive if its just a bit of 2.5 inch pipe to replace the cat itself? Anyone know where a cheaper 2.5 can be sourced?

Performance wise how modifed does the 951 need to be in order to get any benefit out of a 3inch testpipe?

cheers
