Well, after upgrading my car with plenty of power, It is extremelly difficult shifting from 1st to 2nd. When i hit the boost and go to shift (if the tires arent spinning) I can hardly get it into 2nd gear.

I was going to check the transmission fluid, but how do you do this? and with what tool?
