Default 86 turbo brake-upgrade?

I have a set of nos 87 s4 calipers and I can't find a vendor for the adaptors to get them on. Lindseys kit uses big blacks from a gts, so who can i go to?

Would I need to change anything else other than rotors?

S4 calipers didn't go onto these cars until the turbo S in 88. Are you sure they are '87 S4 calipers?

If they are, S4 calipers use the same mounting points as the big blacks and big reds. You can use the same caliper adapter.

If they are not S4 calipers and are in fact regular turbo calipers they will bolt right onto '86 spindles.

You didn't ask about this but:

I don't know of anyone who makes a rotor that will fit onto an '86 with S4 calipers except perhaps VCI.

The calipers are for a porsche 928 s4, I bought them and then sold my 928, leaving me these new calipers. Originally I intended to use the calipers instead of rebuilding them on my 928.

ahh, got it. '87 928 S4, not '87 951.

You can use the big red/big black adapters to bolt them onto '86 spindles. Again, on the rotors I don't know of a solution except to swap to late or m030 spindles, or perhaps VCI

No need to swap spindles. You can use new hubs with 951 S rotors. No need to touch anything else. Just use 9P (my friends company here in Finland) hubs & adapters with 951 S rotors and you are set up Really easy conversion to do and it works great. These hubs are also much stronger than old ET oem ones. You can also remain your original wheels.
VCI is not the only route to go.

With these hubs you can use original Porsche bearings.

If you want to use Monoblock calipers, conversion kits are available
