Arrow **SS Fuel Lines in 951 - RECOMMENDATIONS??

Anyone used the SS braided lines from
<a href="http://www.speedforceracing.com/modindex.html" target="_blank">Speed Force Racing</a>

I'm a bit worried about those OEM hard rubber hoses letting go some day, and figure this is cheap insurance.

Please advise!

thanks - did you go AN compression fittings or hose clamp route? Reason I ask is the flare angle for AN is 37 degrees, which is aircraft and not normal hardware.

I used the clamps provided. Tim provides clamps already on the hoses, all you have to do is install and tighten. I ran my fuel pressure up to 60 psi to check them out then back down to normal operating pressure. No problems - look great.

I bought a set from Turbo Tim a couple of years ago. I never really thought about the possibility of underhood fires, but Tim said he'd had a couple, hence offering the new braided hoses. They look fabulous, have provided me with peace of mind, and were easy to install, with the stainless hose clamps built right in. Highly recommended.

Look at Ian's post in the 924/944/951/968 forum from the last couple days to see how you can make your own SS lines for $20. Same hook up as SFR. Braided lines with hose clamps.

Thanks everyone - do you mean the anodized fittings (blue and red ends on the SS lines) in this SpeedForce photo are actually screw type hose clamps? I don't want to have the raw SS braid webbing exposed with regular style band / Norma hose clamps

The clamps and hose ends are covered by "faky" anodized fittings so there is no braid showing.

I'm using the SFR braided lines, and they work great. They were easy to install as well. You really can't go wrong with them. Hope this helps.

Good luck,
mlwagar...
